ControlNow Scheduled Maintenance, Feb 11th

We’re planning to perform systems maintenance to ControlNow on Saturday, 11th February. The work will affect ControlNow Dashboard access in the Asia Pacific region. Other regions are not affected. As is our normal practice, the work will be performed out of office hours to minimise disruption.

The maintenance schedule is as follows:

  • Australia / Asia Pacific – 9:00pm to 1:00am AEST, Feb 11th

During this time, we’ll be performing essential maintenance to our firewalls. We expect downtime of up to one hour within this window, at which point the ControlNow Dashboard won’t be available.

Services on end-point devices, including Managed Antivirus, Patch Management and Web Protection are not affected and will continue to perform as normal during this period.

Control panel performance issues

8:00AM PST /  3:00PM UTC: The ControlNow control panel is currently experiencing performance issues which our team has traced to communication problems with one of our database servers.  The interface may be slow or unresponsive during this time.  We do not believe that mailflow will be impacted.  Thank you for your patience as the engineering team works to address this.

Slow Inbound Message Processing

8:45am Pacific / 4:45pm GMT — Our monitoring has detected slower than normal message processing in our California and Amsterdam datacenters.  This may delay some inbound messages, primarily for some North American customers.  Our operations team is investigating now and believes this is related to an increase in load; we will publish updates here as more information becomes available.

North American mail processing server

17:30 GMT / 09:30 Pacific – Our alerting systems have notified us of an issue with one outbound mail handling server within our North American datacentre. This is currently being worked on by our operations team to restore full functionality for this server. The issue is causing all mail which is stored on this server (quarantined and queued mail) to present an error message within the console if viewed, and this mail will not release until the servers functionality is restored. This will only impact a small number (up to 5%) of outbound messages for non EU customers. We will post further updates to this site when they become available

ControlNow – Scheduled maintenance for US territory

Dear customers,

We will be performing background maintenance on the ControlNow US instance this weekend out of business hours during the times indicated below.
There will be a one hour of expected downtime during which the ControlNow console will not be accessible. Please note, devices during this time will still be protected, they will still run their antivirus scans and checks will still run, but the results will be uploaded after this maintenance.
